One more smartphone to choose from this fall?

The Moto X and iPhone 5S are finally here, but what remaining superphone on the horizon should early adopters and anxious upgraders still consider waiting for?
The answer: a Nexus 5 made by LG that will drop next month, if a report from Digitimes on Wednesday is to be believed.
The Taiwan-based site and its supply chain sources seem to be further confirming what's now been suspected for several weeks -- a Nexus 5 is just around the corner.
A new Nexus has seemed like a strong possibility since the days leading up to Google I/O, but the sense of inevitability has been increasing recently since Nexus 4 prices were slashed, then sold out, and FCC filings were spotted.
The latest report from Asia repeats the tale that the specs for the Nexus 5 are practically the same as the LG G2 with a 5-inch HD display quad-core CPU and LTE support. What's new is Digitimes' sources confirming suspicions that the new pure Google phone will be available in October and will ship with Android 4.4 KitKat.
No word on whether it will ship with actual Kit Kat bars as well. That could get a little messy.
